♕ REVIEW ♕ ARC ♕ THE SMALLEST PART BY AMY HARMON

TITLE: The Smallest Part
AUTHOR: Amy Harmon
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
PUBLICATION: February 13th, 2018
THE SMALLEST PART: Is a full-length contemporary romance novel by Amy Harmon. This transgressions between 'Past' and 'Present' but it's done effortlessly and just adds more depth to the characters.

In the end only three things matter;
how much you loved
How gently you lived.
And how gracefully you let go
of things not mean’t for you. - Unknown

“Are you in love with Noah, Mercedes?” Cora asked. “I mean . . . I know you love him. You’ve been friends forever. We all have. But are you in love with him?”

Getting asked that difficult question by her bestie and then turning around and lying when she should’ve admitted the truth ‘Yes I love him.’ But sometimes you just have to do what you think is right. And Mercedes always thought Noah was best suited for Cora and hid her feelings for him for a decade. And with that lie she let him go. Even though she loved him from the very bottom of her soul. So in letting him go she became the best friend, the bridesmaid, the godmother and the glue that kept them all together.

"Didn't you ever notice that whatever you wanted or whatever you set out to do. Cora wanted to do it too?" Noah asked

But maybe just maybe the timing wasn't right for them.

Mercedes and Noah have been best friends since they were 8 years old living in the same apartment complex then Cora is introduced to this duo and they became a trio, Cora from the outset seemed a little unhinged a little bit broken, wanting everything that Mercedes had, nothing was out of bounds, not even the guy.

This was such a complex story, so beautifully executed and it's no secret that I love stories like this one, a close knit friendship between three unlikely characters reeled me in as soon as I started reading and I found myself completely captivated by the storyline, pulled into the heartbreak, the angst, the suspense, the slow burn love that always simmered away in the background between Noah and Mercedes which stood the test of time and made me believe that love can conquer all.

“In the end, only three things matter. How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.”
- Unknown

It was a big lie. The biggest lie she’d ever told. It reverberated through her head as she said it, ringing eerily, and the girl behind her eyes—the girl who knew the truth—screamed, and her scream echoed along with the lie.
“Are you in love with Noah, Mercedes?” Cora asked. “I mean . . . I know you love him. You’ve been friends forever. We all have. But are you in love with him?”
If it had been anyone else—anyone—Mercedes would have stuck out her chest, folded her skinny arms, and let her feelings be known. She would have claimed him. But it was Cora. Brave, beautiful, broken Cora, and Cora loved Noah too.
So Mercedes lied.
And with that lie, she lost him. With that lie, she sealed her fate.
She was the best friend, the bridesmaid, the godmother, the glue. She was there for the good times and the bad, the ups and the downs, the biggest moments and the smallest parts. And she was there when it all came crashing down.
This is the tale of the girl who didn’t get the guy.

Amy Harmon is a Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and New York Times Bestselling author. Amy knew at an early age that writing was something she wanted to do, and she divided her time between writing songs and stories as she grew. Having grown up in the middle of wheat fields without a television, with only her books and her siblings to entertain her, she developed a strong sense of what made a good story. Her books are now being published in thirteen languages, truly a dream come true for a little country girl from Levan, Utah.

Amy Harmon has written ten novels - including the USA Today Bestsellers, Making Faces and Running Barefoot, as well as The Law of Moses, Infinity + One and the New York Times Bestseller, A Different Blue. Her recent release, The Bird and the Sword, is a Goodreads Choice finalist in Fantasy. FROM SAND AND ASH, her historical romance, will be released via Lake Union Publishing on December 1st.
